druid's circle
Ancient megalithic monument
A druid's circle is a ring of standing stones, like Stonehenge, popularly associated with ancient Celtic priests called druids.
The term appears in fantasy games and fiction to describe sacred sites where druids gather or perform rituals: The party discovered a druid's circle deep in the forest.
In landscaping, it sometimes refers to a circular arrangement of stones or plants.
