dropkick

Flying two-footed strike

A dropkick is a kick executed by dropping a ball and kicking it just as it bounces off the ground—still legal but rare in American football and rugby.

In wrestling and martial arts, a dropkick is an aerial attack where you jump, kick with both feet, and land on your back: He dropkicked his opponent into the ropes.

Informally, to dropkick something is to punt it decisively: I'd dropkick that idea right now.
