snap kick
Fast knee-driven blow
A snap kick is a martial arts technique where the leg extends rapidly and retracts just as quickly, striking with the ball of the foot or instep.
The speed comes from the knee's whipping motion rather than hip thrust.
Common in karate and taekwondo: She threw a snap kick to his midsection.
Compare with thrust kicks, which push through the target.
