strike action
Organized work refusal
Strike action is a work stoppage by employees as a form of protest or to pressure employers during labor disputes.
Workers engage in strike action to demand better wages, improved conditions, or other concessions.
The term is more common in British English; Americans typically say simply strike or going on strike.
