diving platform

Poolside jumping stage

A diving platform is a rigid, flat structure extending over a pool or body of water, from which divers launch themselves.

Competition platforms are set at standardized heights—typically 5, 7.5, or 10 meters—and lack the spring of a diving board: She competed in the 10-meter platform event.

The term also applies to any elevated surface used for diving into water.
