scuba diving
Tank-assisted swimming
Scuba diving is swimming underwater using a self-contained breathing apparatus—tanks of compressed air worn on the back, with a regulator delivering air on demand.
Unlike snorkeling, which keeps you at the surface, scuba diving allows extended exploration of underwater environments: coral reefs, shipwrecks, underwater caves.
We went scuba diving in the Caribbean.
The activity ranges from recreational tourism to professional work like underwater welding or marine research.
