life drawing
Drawing live models
Life drawing is the practice of drawing the human figure from a live model, typically nude.
It's a foundational exercise in art education, training the eye to capture anatomy, proportion, and gesture: The art school offers life drawing classes every Tuesday evening.
A life drawing is also a work produced this way.
