deterministic
No chance involved
Deterministic describes systems or processes whose outcomes are entirely determined by initial conditions—given the same inputs, they produce the same outputs every time.
A deterministic algorithm follows fixed rules with no randomness: The sorting function is deterministic; it always arranges items the same way.
In philosophy, determinism holds that all events are caused by prior conditions, leaving no room for free will.
The opposite is stochastic or probabilistic, where outcomes involve chance.
