NFA

Branching state machine

NFA is the National Firearms Act, the 1934 U.S. law regulating certain weapons including machine guns, short-barreled rifles and shotguns, and suppressors.

Items covered by this law are called NFA items or NFA weapons and require special registration and a tax stamp to own.

In computing and mathematics, NFA stands for nondeterministic finite automaton—a theoretical model used in formal language theory.
