deleted scenes
Cut from release
Deleted scenes are portions of a film or television show that were shot but cut from the final version.
Directors remove scenes for pacing, length, or quality reasons.
Studios often release deleted scenes as bonus content on home video: The DVD includes twenty minutes of deleted scenes.
The term extends to any content excised from a finished work.
