director commentary
Behind-the-scenes voiceover
Director commentary is an audio track included with film releases where the director discusses the making of the movie while it plays.
These tracks typically cover behind-the-scenes stories, creative decisions, and production challenges: I always watch the director commentary on my favorite films.
The format extends to video games and TV series.
Also called director's commentary.
