deleted scene
Removed film segment
A deleted scene is footage cut from a film or television episode before release, typically for pacing, length, or narrative reasons.
Such scenes often appear as bonus content on home video releases or streaming platforms: The deleted scenes reveal a subplot that was dropped.
Extended to other contexts, it can mean any omitted material later made available: The author published deleted scenes from the novel on her blog.
