reshoots

Second filming attempts

Reshoots are additional filming done after principal photography has wrapped, typically to fix problems, add scenes, or adjust a film's direction.

In Hollywood, extensive reshoots often signal trouble: The reshoots cost an extra twenty million.

But minor reshoots are routine—nearly every major production schedules time for them.
