consonant
Agreeing with something
A consonant is a speech sound produced by obstructing airflow—with the lips, tongue, or throat—as opposed to a vowel, which flows freely.
The letters representing these sounds are also called consonants: B, C, D, F, and so on.
As an adjective, consonant means in agreement or harmony: His actions were consonant with his beliefs.
The opposite is dissonant.
