communions
Eucharistic rites together
Communions is the plural of communion, which at its core means intimate sharing or fellowship.
The word covers both sacred and secular bonds: the communion of kindred spirits, the communion between artist and audience.
In Christian contexts, Communion (often capitalized) is the sacrament of receiving bread and wine representing Christ's body and blood.
Multiple communions may refer to separate instances of the rite, or to different religious bodies sharing common beliefs: the various Protestant communions.
