First Communion
Eucharist initiation rite
First Communion is a Christian sacrament, especially in Catholic and some Protestant traditions, marking a person's first reception of the Eucharist.
It typically occurs around age seven or eight, often accompanied by religious instruction and a ceremony where children dress formally: She wore a white dress for her First Communion.
The occasion is a significant milestone in a young Catholic's religious life.
