coloured

Having visible hue

Coloured is the British spelling of colored.

In South Africa, Coloured (often capitalized) refers specifically to people of mixed racial ancestry, a classification originating under apartheid that remains in use as an ethnic identity.

Elsewhere, coloured as a term for Black people is dated and offensive: No coloured allowed.

The word also simply means having color: brightly coloured fabric.
