chain hoist
Manual load lifter
A chain hoist is a mechanical device for lifting heavy loads, using a looped chain and a system of gears or pulleys to multiply force.
The operator pulls one chain to raise or lower a load suspended from another.
Chain hoists hang from overhead beams or trolleys in warehouses, garages, and workshops: We used a chain hoist to pull the engine out of the truck.
