canyoning
Descending slot gorges
Canyoning is the sport of exploring canyons using techniques like rappelling, climbing, swimming, and jumping.
Participants descend through narrow gorges, often following watercourses, navigating waterfalls, pools, and rocky passages.
Also called canyoneering, especially in American usage: We went canyoning in the slot canyons of Utah.
