calculus
Math beyond algebra
Calculus is the branch of mathematics dealing with rates of change and accumulation—differential calculus handles instantaneous rates, integral calculus handles accumulated quantities.
I failed calculus twice in college.
In medicine, a calculus is a hard mass formed in the body, such as a kidney stone or dental tarite.
The plural for math is usually calculus; for stones, calculi.
