integral calculus
Antiderivative-finding branch
Integral calculus is the branch of mathematics concerned with finding areas, volumes, and accumulations—the reverse of differential calculus.
Where differential calculus breaks things into infinitely small pieces, integral calculus reassembles them.
The integral of a function represents the area under its curve: Integral calculus lets us calculate the total distance traveled from a velocity function.
