bulimia
Binge-purge cycle
Bulimia is an eating disorder characterized by cycles of binge eating followed by purging—typically self-induced vomiting, but also laxative abuse or excessive exercise.
The full clinical term is bulimia nervosa.
Unlike anorexia, people with bulimia often maintain normal weight, making the condition less visible: She hid her bulimia for years.
