mindful eating
Attentive meal practice
Mindful eating is the practice of paying deliberate attention to the experience of eating—noticing flavors, textures, hunger signals, and emotional responses rather than consuming food automatically or while distracted.
The approach draws from Buddhist mindfulness traditions and is often used in weight management and treating disordered eating: Mindful eating helped me recognize when I was actually full.
