bris

Newborn son's ceremony

A bris is the Jewish ritual circumcision of a male infant, traditionally performed on the eighth day after birth.

The ceremony, conducted by a mohel (ritual circumciser), marks the covenant between God and the Jewish people established with Abraham.

Also spelled brit or brit milah.

The whole family gathered for the bris.
