anemonefish
Nemo's real species
Anemonefish are small, brightly colored tropical fish that live among sea anemone tentacles.
The fish gain protection from predators while the anemone benefits from the fish's presence—a classic symbiosis.
Also called clownfish, they became widely known through the animated film *Finding Nemo*.
