traffic accident
Vehicular collision incident
A traffic accident is a collision or incident involving vehicles on a road.
The term covers everything from minor fender benders to fatal crashes: Three people were injured in a traffic accident on the highway.
Some prefer "traffic collision" or "crash," arguing that "accident" implies no one is at fault.
