Turkish tea
Strong, steeped, red
Turkish tea is strong black tea served in small tulip-shaped glasses, typically brewed in a double-stacked teapot called a çaydanlık.
The tea is poured concentrated, then diluted with hot water to taste.
It's the centerpiece of Turkish hospitality, offered to guests and consumed throughout the day: We sat in the café drinking Turkish tea and playing backgammon.
