Blue-veiled desert people

Tuaregs are a Berber people of the Sahara Desert, traditionally nomadic herders and traders spread across Algeria, Mali, Niger, Libya, and Burkina Faso.

They are known for their distinctive indigo-dyed clothing and veils worn by men, and for their matrilineal social structure.

The singular is Tuareg: The Tuareg guided the expedition across the desert.
