Saharan

Bone-dry and sandy

Saharan describes anything relating to or characteristic of the Sahara, the vast desert spanning much of North Africa.

It most often modifies climate, conditions, or geography: Saharan dust storms can travel thousands of miles across the Atlantic.

The adjective also appears in phrases like sub-Saharan Africa, referring to the regions south of the desert.

Saharan heat has become a common way to describe extremely hot, dry conditions anywhere.
