Thoth

Egypt's wisdom god

Thoth is the ancient Egyptian god of writing, wisdom, magic, and the moon.

Depicted with the head of an ibis or as a baboon, he served as scribe to the gods and inventor of hieroglyphics.

Thoth weighed the hearts of the dead against the feather of truth.

His name appears in discussions of Egyptian mythology and occult traditions that draw on Egyptian symbolism.
