Olympian gods
Zeus and company
The Olympian gods are the principal deities of ancient Greek religion, believed to dwell on Mount Olympus.
The core twelve include Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes, Demeter, and either Hestia or Dionysus.
They ruled over different domains—war, love, the sea, wisdom—and featured in myths that shaped Western literature.
The Olympian gods were famously petty and jealous.
