Steward
Name, not job
A steward is someone who manages property, affairs, or resources on behalf of another.
Flight attendants were once called stewards (male) and stewardesses (female).
A shop steward represents union members.
The broader sense emphasizes responsible care: We are stewards of the land.
To steward is to manage or oversee: She stewarded the project through completion.
