Chandra

Hindu moon god

Chandra is a Sanskrit word meaning "moon" or "shining," used as a given name for both men and women in South Asian cultures.

In Hindu tradition, Chandra is also the lunar deity.

The name appears in Western contexts primarily through Indian heritage or the Chandra X-ray Observatory, a NASA space telescope.
