Seabees
Military builder battalion
Seabees are members of the U.S.
Navy's Construction Battalions, which build infrastructure in combat zones and remote locations.
The name comes from the initials C.B.
The Seabees were established during World War II to construct airfields, roads, and bases, often under fire: My grandfather was a Seabee in the Pacific.
