Red Rover

Breakthrough playground game

Red Rover is a children's outdoor game in which two teams form lines by holding hands, then take turns calling players to run and break through the opposing chain: Red Rover, Red Rover, send Sarah right over.

If the runner breaks the chain, they capture a player; if not, they join the opposing team.

The game continues until one team absorbs all players.
