duck duck goose
Tap-and-chase game
Duck duck goose is a children's chasing game where players sit in a circle while one child walks around tapping heads, saying "duck" for each until choosing someone as "goose"—who must then chase the tapper around the circle.
The phrase sometimes describes any process of elimination or sequential selection: It felt like duck duck goose trying to pick a restaurant.
