hide and seek

Find the concealed

Hide and seek is a children's game in which one player closes their eyes and counts while others scatter to find hiding spots, then searches for them.

The seeker traditionally announces Ready or not, here I come before hunting.

The game serves as a metaphor for any situation involving pursuit and evasion: The company played hide and seek with regulators for years.
