Pokémon
Catch them all
Pokémon is a Japanese media franchise centered on fictional creatures that humans capture and train to battle each other.
The name combines "pocket" and "monster." Beginning as video games in 1996, it expanded into trading cards, an animated series, films, and merchandise, becoming one of the highest-grossing entertainment properties worldwide.
My kid wants Pokémon cards for his birthday.
The creatures themselves are also called Pokémon: Pikachu is probably the most famous Pokémon.
