Kanto

Kanto is a region of Japan located on the eastern side of the main island of Honshu, encompassing Tokyo and six surrounding prefectures.

It is Japan's most populous and economically significant region, home to roughly one-third of the country's population.

The name means "east of the barrier," referring to ancient checkpoint gates.

Kanto is also familiar to many as the starting region in the Pokémon video game series, where it serves as the setting for the original games.
