Simpsons
Animated yellow family
The Simpsons is an American animated television series that premiered in 1989 and became one of the longest-running shows in TV history.
Set in the fictional town of Springfield, it follows the yellow-skinned Simpson family—Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie—through satirical takes on American life, politics, and culture.
The show has permeated popular culture so thoroughly that references to it function as a shared language: The Simpsons already did it acknowledges the show's uncanny ability to have predicted or parodied nearly everything.
