OpenGL

3D rendering standard

OpenGL is a cross-platform programming interface for rendering 2D and 3D graphics.

It provides a standard way for software to communicate with graphics hardware, widely used in video games, CAD applications, and scientific visualization.

The game engine supports both OpenGL and DirectX.

OpenGL has largely been superseded by Vulkan for high-performance applications.
