deprecation
Belittling or criticizing
Deprecation is the act of expressing disapproval or belittling something: His constant deprecation of her efforts wore her down.
Self-deprecation is modest or disparaging talk about oneself.
In software, deprecation marks a feature as outdated and scheduled for removal—still functional but no longer recommended: The old API is slated for deprecation in the next release.
