Octoberfest

German beer festival

Octoberfest is the annual beer festival held in Munich, Germany, running from late September into early October.

The celebration features traditional Bavarian food, music, and massive quantities of beer served in large steins.

The name now applies to any autumn festival imitating the original: The brewery hosts its own Octoberfest every year.

Also spelled Oktoberfest, closer to the German.
