O-levels

Secondary school tests

O-levels are standardized secondary school examinations formerly used in Britain and still administered in some Commonwealth countries.

Students typically sat O-levels around age sixteen, with results determining eligibility for further education or employment.

Britain replaced O-levels with GCSEs in the late 1980s: She got eight O-levels and went on to sixth form.
