A-levels

Pre-university qualifications

A-levels, short for Advanced Level examinations, are subject-based qualifications taken by students in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, typically at age 17-18.

They serve as the main pathway to university admission, with students usually studying three or four subjects in depth over two years.

A-level results are graded A* through E, and university offers are often conditional on achieving specific grades.
