Muhammadan
Follower of Islam
Muhammadan is an old-fashioned term for a Muslim or relating to Islam.
The word was common in English through the early twentieth century but is now considered dated and mildly offensive, as it wrongly implies Muslims worship Muhammad rather than Allah.
The Muhammadan conquest of Persia occurred in the seventh century.
Muslim is the preferred term.
