Circe

Swine-maker of myth

Circe is a sorceress from Greek mythology who transforms Odysseus's men into pigs in Homer's *Odyssey*.

The name has come to mean any dangerously seductive woman who uses her charms to manipulate or degrade men: She was a Circe who reduced powerful executives to groveling fools. (Lowercase circe is rare but may appear in literary contexts.)
