Lone Ranger

Solo masked hero

The Lone Ranger is a fictional masked lawman of the American Old West, originating in 1930s radio serials and appearing in television, film, and comics since.

The character rides a white horse named Silver and is accompanied by his Native American companion Tonto.

Someone called a lone ranger acts independently, often taking on challenges others won't: He's been a lone ranger on this issue, pushing for reform when no one else would.
