peacekeeper
Neutral intervention force
A peacekeeper is someone who maintains or restores peace, especially a soldier deployed as part of an international force to monitor ceasefires or prevent conflict in war-torn regions: UN peacekeepers were stationed along the border.
More casually, a peacekeeper is anyone who mediates disputes or calms tensions: She's the peacekeeper in our family.
