Zorro
Black-clad avenger
Zorro is a fictional masked vigilante hero, created in 1919, who defends common people against corrupt officials in Spanish California.
Dressed in black with a cape and flat-brimmed hat, he marks his victories by slashing a Z with his rapier.
The character has appeared in countless films, television series, and adaptations: He fancies himself a Zorro, fighting injustice from the shadows. (Lowercase zorro is Spanish for fox.)
